What You will be doing

As our VP sales, you will be a key member of the leadership team, driving the growth and success of our company through a range of sales and revenue initiatives. Reporting to the Co-Founder & COO, you will be responsible for leading our sales efforts and expanding our customer base globally. Your role will be pivotal in achieving our revenue targets and establishing Payrails as a market leader in the fintech industry. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company goals and market trends, focusing on driving revenue growth and market expansion

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, support, and coaching to achieve individual and team targets

  • Customer Acquisition: Own new customer acquisition efforts by identifying target markets, cultivating leads, and closing strategic deals with enterprise businesses worldwide

  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong C-suite level relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention

  • Market Insights: Stay abreast of market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs, providing insights and recommendations to inform product development and marketing strategies

  • Sales Operations: Implement best practices and processes to optimize sales operations, including sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance tracking

  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and customer success, to align sales efforts with overall company objectives and drive customer value

  • Strategic Partnerships: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with key players in the fintech ecosystem, including financial institutions, technology partners, and resellers, to expand market reach and drive revenue growth

 

You'll be great for this role if
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field 

  • You have +15 years of experience in B2B sales leadership roles, preferably within a fast-paced start-up environment

  • You have demonstrated the ability to build, motivate, and manage high-performing sales teams

  • You have strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and execute complex sales strategies

  • You have excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • You have a deep understanding of sales processes, techniques, and methodologies

  • You have ntrepreneurial mindset with a results-driven attitude and a passion for innovation

  • Previous experience with payments is a plus
